5 Best and Stressed Hours of my life It went really fast didn't it?
I'm a little sad that the wedding is over. At first I just really wanted it to be over, but then I'm sad that day has come and gone. I'm actually thinking of doing another photoshoot with my wedding dress and accesories. I just feel like there wasn't enough picture by myself because the photo part of the wedding was so rushed.
There a few wedding-related things left to do. I am looking forward to opening gifts that were left @ my parent's house and sending out thank you cards. The photographer will be sending over photos soon, and the videographer is also in the editing process, so I have to wait for that too. But in the meantime, I realize we didn't go on a honeymoon - so this leaves the opportunity to go on an amazing trip for our first year anniversary - as a replacement for the missed honeymoon. Any suggestions?

Because pictures are better than words Google map
"enchanced"
I had a few minutes to make a map, so take a look:

Here's the entrance you'll be looking for, before the ceremony. You should be going thru this gate about 4:45 pm, if you plan to be on time.
After the ceremony, you'll walk out of those gates again, and proceed to the clubhouse aka reception hall.

It looks like a long walk, but it won't be that bad. I promise.

4 more days! That's less than five!
We've been swamped at work since we are short one designer. The new temp will be starting work tomorrow. But my work worries all melt away as soon as I walk out the building, only to be replaced by wedding jitters. I have Friday off, which is very helpful. I'll be picking up my wedding band that day, and I'm thinking new shoes. Also that night is the pre-wedding dinner is that night. I made the reservations for 7 pm. Scroll down to my last post for the address.
Saturday is the big day! Both ceremony and reception is in highland. Ceremony is outdoors, by the lake and it starts at 5 pm. Reception starts at 5:30 pm, in the clubhouse across the street from the ceremony.
Parking is available by the clubhouse (reception site). The address is up 6892 Cloverhill Dr Highland CA 92346.
If you are reading this, and you still have questions, please ask me now. I'll thank you profusely for not calling on me on Saturday. Besides I probably won't answer my phone.

Rehearsal day tomorrow! Seven days before wedding day! Six days before the pre-wedding dinner!
I'm a little nervous about rehearsal day. We wrote our own vows, and I'm still revising it (over and over). Also the flowergirls and ring bearer still need their dresses and suit. And speaking of ringbearer, I actually still don't have a wedding band. Curse these last minute details!
But the good news is: I've finallly picked out dress ready! (The dress that was made for me in March didn't work out). My accessories are ready. The caterers, florist and the limo service is paid. Dez has his tux rented (we did this on mother's day). And baby Micah's got his suit too!
And one last thing. Friday, May 22nd. Pre-wedding dinner @ the Elephant bar. 7pm. Anyone invited to the wedding should come!

It's so close Yet so far
Now it seems like the blog is just a countdown to the wedding. But I actually had other concrete things I wanted to say a few things to everyone attending.
1: Don't be late! This is the real 5 pm, not 5 pm "filipino time." The musicians are getting paid by the hour, and they are already overpaid as it is, so don't be late.
2: Formal wear, not casual wear.
3: Send gifts to my apartment or my mom's house, not to the reception hall please.
4: If you're bringing a guest with you to the wedding, you need to let me know.
5: Google directions to the wedding, I most likely won't be picking up my phone that day. From LA/OC: 10 east, 210 east, exit baseline... etc.
I'm so excited. Let's get married!

Happy Cinco Break out the coronas
Less than 20 days before the wedding! And less than 2 weeks before the rehearsal. If you're in the bridal party, you probably already know this. Rehearsal day is Sunday, May 17, 3 pm. Same place as the wedding ceremony. If you're not sure where that is, click the google map icon above, and follow the directions to the rehearsal. Be there or be square. (unless you're an out-of-towner, then I suppose that's okay)

The guest list is finalized! Yay! I have to create a seating chart and place cards.
Ya heard right, a seating chart. There will be seating arrangement at the reception. I know in school most of us didn't appreciate mandatory seating arrangements! You had to sit like 6 rows behind your bestie, so you can't talk to them. But this isn't what this is about, wedding receptions have to be this way so that no one (that RSVP'd) gets left out without a chair. But I will keep the family and friend cliches together. If you feel like mixing it up, then you gotta wait until you get to the dance floor. Then mix it up all you want!

37 Days To Go Is it May 23rd yet?
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone that sent RSVP cards. I love getting them. Secondly, I wanted to share that I am beyond excited for the wedding. Is it Memorial Day Weekend yet? (my wedding is that Saturday!) It's just around the corner, but I can't wait for it to come! Some part of me wishes I just scheduled it for April!
I get to see friends and family, some I haven't seen for a very long time! They'll get to meet my husband and my baby. I also get to meet some of his family that I've never met before. Micah will get to meet little cousins and make friends! It's gonna be lots of fun.

Bring your dancing shoes And walking in the grass shoes
Ladies, if you're taste in shoes is anything like mine, the higher the heels, the better. But unless you know how to walk with stilletos on any terrain, be advised that you're gonna end up walking on grass at some point during the ceremony. There will be a runner in the middle aisle, but I still recommend either flats or wedges. And also there is also a steep slope before you get to the seating area.
Another plus: after the ceremony, the reception will move from outside to inside. A DJ will be spinning dance music after dinner, so you'll definitely be happy you wore sensible shoes! Of course if you wear yoru fancy shoes for the photos and then kick them off afterwards, I have no problem with that.

Bird is da word Do you suffer from Orinthophobia?
Otherwise known as fear of birds. Some of the common symptoms of duck phobia include: * Shortness of breath
* Rapid breathing * Irregular heart beat * Nausea * Vomiting * Overall feeling of dread Source.
You must have your symptoms under control, or seek treatment before the wedding! Here are a few photos of some ferocious feathered freaks that call Spring Lake of East Highland Ranch their home.

R.S.V.P. Reminder Don't forget
Please send in the RSVP card, if you haven't already. Alternately, you can e-mail me or give me a call. (Or my mom) It's very important that you let me know if you are bringing a date or any guests, otherwise they won't have a place to sit down. They might not even have anything to eat.
Speaking of eating, you must let me know if you want a vegetarian dinner. The caterer wants to know the exact number of vegetarian plates to make.

Recently asked questions Let's clear up this shizz
What's the color for the wedding? I picked the hues of violet, purple and lavender. But as a guest, you don't have to worry about the color palette.
What do I wear to the wedding? Any appropriate and pretty dress you have that is in a nice springy color.
Unless of course you are a bridesmaid, then you specifically have to wear a stunningly beautiful dress in violet, purple or lavender. The more old school Filipina crowd will probably be wearing something very traditional in our culture. Keep in mind, the weather in San Bernardino is hotter than Los Angeles, but the wedding starts late in the afternoon, and ends at 11pm.
What does my boyfriend/husband wear? Micah, who will be 6 months old will be wearing a suit. So your date should have a suit on too. Also acceptable is the barong tagalog, which is traditional for a filipino wedding.
Where are you registered? Target and Macys.
Search by: Frances Casareno.
EDIT: I forgot to emphasize that cash and checks are happily accepted! Please send those (or any gifts) to me or my parents instead of taking it to the wedding. (My address is the return address on your invitation).
Is there dinner, drinks and dancing? Yes, yes and yes! But there is no open bar, therefore no mixed drinks. There is wine to go with the dinner and appetizers and champagne for the toast. If you're an "I only drink Grey Goose"- kind of person, (I used to be like that) then sorry. You can always consider a BYOB policy. I won't object. Be prepared to boogie after you grub.

The Story Not a fairytale, but I wouldn't have it any other way
Dez and I met 2002 at Calstate Fullerton. I was strolling down the walkway better McCartney Hall and the Theater building on my way to the Arts Buildings. He was walking ahead of me with two short and bald asian guys, with matching solid sweatshirts (they made an odd looking entourage, since he was so tall in comparison). As he slowed his pace, I realized he was trying to approach me.
It wasn't long before we became close friends. I couldn't have realized then how important we would become to each other's lives. Our relationship has gone up and down. We didn't quite break up as many times as Carrie and Big, but its a close number. We also legally tied the know last year, in the courthouse of Beverly Hills. December 16, 2008, marked the birth of our son, Micah Truce Williams. And that's the beginning of a whole new chapter I'll tell you the rest when I'm 50.

Multi-tasking Note to webdesigners: If something is neon, it's because you forgot to convert to RGB!
It's true, being a mom makes you multi-task. That's why I'm making this website while simultaneously designing labels for Jarrow Formulas! (Don't tell anyone.) So if something in the website doesn't work, give me a break, and e-mail me about it.
On a another issue: I also load the laundry while holding Micah. And the other launderers look at me disapprovingly! I'm supposed to leave him alone in the apartment while I do laundry? Dez works all weekend, and I'm not living with a ton of dirty clothes.
At least I'm not breastfeeding while driving!

1st item Finally!
First I had to make the invitations, put them together and mail them out! So now that all that is done, the designing process of the website has begun. I finally published the website, but I might decide to edit things here and there later, or it might be the final one. I'm not sure, I've been going back and forth with the design. (Kinda like my dress)
I didn't really want it to be too matchy-matchy with the invite or anything like that. And no it doesn't represent the cake or the veil or anything. It's a little bit inspired by the almighty (albeit floundering) dollar. More to blog later! I've got 2 cute boys to go home to!
